Exhibitions & Events: madebymotive is Open For Submissions

Our annual open submission Creative Arts and Design Exhibition 'madebymotive' is open for submissions!

The Creative Arts Network recently released the second issue of Hue magazine, Motive, which explores the trigger behind creative practice. We chose 12 of our favourite studios and freelancers to respond and would love to invite students to respond too. Submissions should explore either what motivates you to follow a career in your chosen discipline or the journey shaping the motivation of an individual project.

Two design and inspiration awards are up for grabs and the first 100 submissions will receive a hand-numbered limited edition MadeByMotive A2 screenprint, signed by the designer and printed on GR Smith Colourplan.

How does an 'open submission' exhibition work?

Open submission exhibitions give everyone a chance to be a part of an exhibit. Students, creative professionals, freelancers, photographers, designers, typographers, illustrators, dancers, poets, spoken word artists etc are all given an equal opportunity to be part of a mixed-medium creative arts exhibition by submitting work exploring a selected theme. The theme of this exhibition is ‘madebymotive’. Those entering are encouraged to explore any angle or interpretation of the theme, in any medium they wish.

Submissions should explore either what motivates you to follow a career in your chosen discipline or the journey shaping the motivation of an individual project.
